International Day for Peace

To celebrate this important day our students from IES Las Salinas have carried out a great number of activities to make a better world, at least for one day. Both teachers and students have participated in these activities to show how important is to be together and not to fight to each other.

We went through the streets of the towns carrying banners for peace, the highschool was decorated with a lot of stuff such as doves, quotes, projects… We have learned about the countries in war nowadays, the most influential Nobel Prizes for Peace, videos about the terrible situation in Syria…

When we arrived to the school the PE teacher showed the peace symbol with the help of our students and some teachers.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

 Our youngest students from Las Salinas High School wish all of you( classmates, teachers, parents, friends...) a brilliant and merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2016.

We'll come back again in January with more new and good things....and of course...with the aim of improving in all the aspects....

Halloween

It’s Halloween in Las Salinas High School and our students have decorated their classrooms with plenty of scary stuff….the classrooms have been invaded by vampires, zombies, bats, graveyards, spiders, skeletons, cobwebs, black cats, witches, pumpkins…..

Halloween is coming!

As we do every year, all the classes in the school have been decorated for Halloween.  In the picture, the students of 3ºB show us the result of their work, for sure one of the spookiest class we have ever seen.

Last day

Hola familias, un día más os escribimos desde Hornillos, hoy es nuestro último día y todos estamos un poco pesarosos por tener que despedirnos de los amigos y monitores con los que hemos convivido durante la última semana.  Esta mañana, tras el trabajo con los monitores, fuimos a visitar la granja instalada junto al campamento.  Allí pudimos ver las gallinas, pavos e incluso una tortuga, pero con lo que más disfrutamos fue con los caballos, a los que pudimos acariciar.

Tras la visita los alumnos continuaron el trabajo con sus monitores.  Hoy debían inventarse una canción cuya letra hiciera alusión a alguno de los temas tratados durante la semana e idear una coreografía con la que acompañar la canción.  Todos los grupos nos sorprendieron gratamente con su ritmo y su creatividad.

Fourth Day

Hola familias, un día más os escribimos desde Hornillos de Eresma.  Hoy los chicos están trabajando un tema muy importante, "la generación Z", es decir, la generación de aquellos que están absolutamente enganchados a la tecnología.  Se trata de hacerles reflexionar sobre la necesidad de hacer un uso racional de los teléfonos móviles, y otros dispositivos electrónicos.  Después de la comida, hicimos una pequeña ruta de senderismo por la ribera del río, os dejo unas fotos para que veáis el paisaje tan bonito que tenemos a nuestro alrededor.  Después visitamos el bosque de pinos que tenemos al lado y vimos como los lugareños explotan la resina que obtienen de este árbol.  Cada pino proporciona unos 3.5 litros de resina al año, y se vende a 1€/litro, su principal uso está en la fabricación de barnices y pegamentos. A continuación podéis ver las fotos de los distintos grupos de trabajo tras escenificar sus sketches tecnológicos.  Todos los grupos trabajaron muy bien y el resultado final fue estupendo, felicidades a todos.
